President Barack Obama told a small group of women who were gathered for a fundraiser that he does not think the current climate of anger is warranted.

The comments were the latest to come out of the president’s final weekend of campaigning before Election Day.

Trump has dominated headlines for his controversial comments about women.

Obama and his wife, Michelle, have hosted fundraisers for Democratic candidates and Democratic committees since he took office in 2009.

At one event last week, they raised nearly $8 million, according to a person familiar with the event.

The president has a history of criticizing the media and calling out Republicans for their comments on women’s issues.

But he also is known for his liberal views and is a favorite of women.
